OK, So you probably think this has something to do with Leadville? Well no.

So earlier in the year,  one of the Guys I ride with, "Vince"  had this thing about picking up the lead tire weights that he would find when we were waiting at stop lights.   This seemed like a good idea so I started picking up this lead too.  There's literally probably 100's of lbs of this stuff on our roads which probably gets washed or pushed into our water systems and since it's so heavy just sits and leaches it's toxicity into our environment.

Here's a pic of my collection so far this summer!  I am not sure what I am going to do with this stuff yet, but I am hoping a local tire shop or maybe the hazardous waste place has some place to dispose or recycle this.

Just think what an impact we might have if we all would help remove stuff like this.  Yeah I know it's toxic so use gloves and put it someplace sealed if you do decide to take up this call.
