  • Decided to go down to Mead to check out the Mead Series
crits.   Went down there with Bob G. since he is thinking
about testing his mettle there.   It's was really windy and I
was glad that we we not racing.  The Cat IV field was small, about
25 or so and they were split up due to the windy conditions.  The
    course was sweet,
since it was at a small race course suitable for SCCA competition or
Karts.   I am not sure how long the thing is but it looked to
be about 1/5 miles or so.  Great for spectators cause you can see
    the whole course.

Now  I really wouldn't consider this a dangerous crit since the
corners looked to be pretty safe and more like a circuit race.  There is a litle switch back in
there on a grade which is a good place to put on a little heat and test
the legs of ones competitors.  I almost want to go and do this one
just for grins.  I may end up trying this in a few weeks just ot
keep Bob company and to be able to give some 1st hand advice not just
from the lines.    Although I really have no desire to
race seriously, the cat IV field there looked sane.

Perhaps I can convice some of the Breakfast club Boyz like Peter, Dave,
Kent etc. to go down and play one night.   It could be a lot
    of fun!

Do you hear the cry of the warrior?
